Pursuant to the directives of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Algerian Republic, the Prime Minister, Mr. Abdelaziz Djerad extended for an additional ten days, until April 29, 2020, the current confinement system as well as all of the accompanying preventive measures.
To this end, the Prime Minister reiterated once again the need to respect the preventive rules such as the terms of confinement, social distancing and hygiene measures which remain in the current situation the only prevention barriers capable of stopping the spread from Covid-19.
Failure to comply with these rules will dangerously influence the trajectory of this previously contained epidemic, since it has been proven that there is a strong correlation between the spread of Covid-19 and negligence linked to the behavior of citizens.
Aware of the economic and social impacts of containment, the public authorities aspire that the present extension of the measures taken will help consolidate the efforts already undertaken to stop this epidemic.
