The Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai has announced expatriates who have lost their job but found new jobs will be able to keep their residency until the end of the year. They will be also be able to transfer their residency to the new sponsor. The announcement was made during a discussion of the Emirate’s 24 hour procedures of the National Disinfection Programme. He added, those who want to return to their home country can do so. The Dubai Health Authority is testing those leaving the country through the airports. The Directorate is also talking with the Tourism Department about a post-Coronavirus plan for the tourism sector in the Emirate. Full story
