New Anti-Coronavirus Measures Announced

Oman’s Supreme Anti-Coronavirus Committee has announced additional measures to tackle the virus in the Sultanate. The aim is to support private sector employers and their employees and the additional measures were approved after discussions between the Government and relevant private sector departments through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Under the measures, private sector employers have to retain their Omani employees and not terminate their services. Private sector employers also have to revamp their function systems, introduce remote working and provide enough space between employees at workplaces and accommodation. They must also give paid leave on full pay to employees during isolation and Stay-at-Home periods provided a certificate on the end of quarantine period is issued by the relevant departments.
