Repatriation Plan Approved

Kuwait’s Prime Minster has announced a repatriation programme. The programme will take place in three stages. Under the first stage on 19 and 20 April, Kuwaitis in GCC countries, Egypt and Turkey will be repatriated. In the second stage on 23 April, Kuwaiti patients who need medical beds and life support will be repatriated. In the third and final stage on 25 April, a full-scale operation to return Kuwaiti citizens from 101 destinations globally will be repatriated. Out of 50,000 Kuwaiti nationals abroad, 35,000 have asked to return. When they arrive back they will be tested for Coronavirus which will include taking their temperatures and taking swab tests.
