Food Outlet Closure Exemptions Announced

Dubai’s Economic Development Department has issued a Circular specifying the food outlets exempt from closure during the National Disinfection Programme. Meat trading, fruit and vegetable trading, roasters, mills, fish trading, coffee trading and tea trading outlets are exempt providing they comply with specific conditions. They must apply for a movement permit and only open 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. Nuts, chocolates and sweet shops can also stay open if they are located inside shopping malls.
