DHCA rolls out e-Licences for doctors, nurses

Dubai’s Healthcare City Authority has announced it has launched a new e-license for healthcare professionals. It is part of the Authority’s efforts to help front line health workers and tackle the spread of Coronavirus in the Emirate. The aim is to reduce administrative requirements for healthcare professionals. For example it will reduce waiting times compared to waiting to receive a printed license, provide instant updates when a new permanent employer is added or a license is renewed and there will be no printing and delivery fees. The Authority has also studied the challenges healthcare professionals are facing in renewing their licenses because of a requirement for 50% of Continuing Professional Development training to be carried out in person and Basic Life Support training can only be offered physically. All physical training has been stopped. The Authority is now accepting 100% e- Continuing Professional Development training and Basic Life Support training.
