The UAE’s Justice Ministry has announced it has launched an e-wedding service. The service enables brides and grooms to be to visit a website to submit their documents. This service also allows them to choose a preferred cleric. Once the documentation has been approved, a date is set for the e-wedding ceremony. This will be carried out via video link and following the service, the couple will have to provide e-signatures before the marriage contract is issued. The necessary documents are then filed by officials with law courts to record the marriage. Full story
