Re-entry Visas Should be Extended for Three Months

Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Passports has announced the validity of re-entry and exit visas should be extended for three months. It will apply to those visas which expired between 25 February and 24 May. The validity will be extended for free and automatically. It follows directives from the King to reduce the financial effects of the Coronavirus outbreak in the Kingdom. It follows an announcement by the General Directorate last week of a mechanism for extending exit and re-entry visas of expatriates or their family members who are outside the Kingdom. The extension must be done electronically by the employer for expatriate employees or by the head of a family for dependents after visiting the designated link in the electronic visa portal of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
