Dubai’s Economic Development Department has announced Government centres will be closed until 18 April. It comes as the Emirate continues to tackle Coronavirus. Originally they were meant to reopen on 9 April following the National Disinfection Programme. However, the services provided by the Government will continue to be provided through the Smart channels like UAE Pass. UAE Pass is a joint initiative between the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority and Smart Dubai. More than 5,000 services, including various UAE banks, semi-Government companies and foreign exchange firms are available through the unified channel. It allows residents and visitors to register for the first national digital identity, using a password-less and paperless secure profile to access Government and commercial service and sign, verify and share digital versions of documents.
