All Hospital and Medical Centre Wireless Authorisation Validity Extension Announced

The UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has announced it has extended the validity of all wireless authorisations of hospitals and medical centres across the country. This applies regardless of when the authorisation was due to expire and the aim is to support the health sector during the Coronavirus outbreak. The Authority has also announced it has provided a package of backup radio frequencies to hospitals and medical centres so they can be immediately allocated on request without them needing to pre-pay the fees required to complete the transaction. In addition, the Authority has said hospitals and medical centres will have priority if any of their devices are jammed or interfered with or interruption to their network causes delays or disruption. Full story
