The Tax Authority has announced a package of measures to deal with the repercussions of the pandemic. The new measures will help those subject to taxation to facilitate their obligations and spare them the penalties stipulated in law. Measures include exemption from penalties and fines for not submitting declarations on time and for paying taxes specified within a maximum period of three months from its due date. It is also now permissible to pay taxes in instalments and such payments are exempt from the additional penalties, in cases where it is proven that payments were affected due to COVID-19. Full story
