Ministry Issues Circular on Contracts for Parties and Events

The Commerce and Industry Ministry has issued a circular on the subject of contracts signed for hosting parties, festivals, and events requesting that service providers reach amicable agreements with their customers. The request follows orders not host any private parties, festivals, and events. The Ministry has said in a statement that this request is due to its wish to guarantee the stability of relationships between providers and the consumers taking into consideration the wish to avoid financial damage resulting from the COVID-19 precautionary measures. The Ministry has stated that the pandemic represents a force majeure scenario which cannot be prevented or stopped. Service providers should sign new contracts to deliver their commitments or reach an amicable agreement on the interests of both parties on money and deposits taken by providers.
