The UAE Central Bank has directed banks to restock ATMs with new banknotes of all denominations and ensure the availability of cash during the salary payment cycle this month. The move is to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Banks have also been advised hto immediately implement additional preventive measures on ATM usage, including sanitising all ATMs on a regular basis and providing preventive equipment (such as disposable latex gloves) to all customers while using ATMs at all times.
