Police Enforces COVID-19 Rules

Bahrain’s police have stepped up patrols on public highways and are enforcing rules brought in to tackle the spread of coronavirus. The Interior Ministry have introduced restrictions which include a ban on gatherings of more than five individuals in public places, the enforcement of social distancing, with a gap of no less than one meter between each person. Failure to comply with Article 121 of Bahrain Law No. 34/2018 (Public Health law) can result in up to three-months imprisonment and/or a fine between USD 2,645 to USD 26,500.
