Curfew Violators To Stand Trial

Kuwaiti security authorities have referred five people to urgent trial for violating a partial curfew aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19. It was claimed these individuals had deliberately violated the curfew which came into effect on Sunday. Violations for the curfew are punishable with up to three years in prison and a fine of 10,000 Kuwaiti Dinars. Others who could show they were out because of an emergency reason were released.
