AMENDMENT TO CONTROL of Communicable Diseases LAW IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Oman issued Sultani Decree No. 32/2020 amending some provisions of the Law on the Control of Communicable Diseases (Oman Sultani Decree No. 73/1992). Among other things, the amendment states that those who fail to report a communicable disease in accordance will be punished by imprisonment for a period no less than three months and not exceeding one year, and a fine no less than OMR 1,000 and not exceeding OMR 10,000 or one of those two punishments.
