The UAE has decided to temporarily suspend the issuing of residence permits for those who are abroad from 19 March for two weeks.
The suspension might be renewed depending on Coronavirus updates.
The Foreign and International Cooperation Ministry has issued the following advice for individuals who are abroad.
Those who are in their home country should postpone their travel and contact the UAE diplomatic mission to get support. If they are abroad for business they should contact the company they work for and the UAE diplomatic mission.
If they are on leave they should contact the diplomatic mission in that country.
