Shopping Malls Should Follow Health Procedures

Qatar’s Trade and Industry Ministry has requested shopping outlets follow a number of health precautionary procedures to protect the health and safety of Qatari nationals and residents.

The Ministry has said all outlets and sale points have signed an undertaking to follow a number of measures including taking the temperature of their staff twice a day and providing hand sanitizer at main entrances and crowd points and in toilets.

They also have to disinfect shopping trolleys before they are used by customers and clean surfaces like fridge handles and doors.

The Ministry has said these conditions come as a measure to tackle Coronavirus in the country in line with Article 13 of Qatar Law No. 8/2008 (the Consumer Protection Law) which requires service providers to follow health and safety measures.
