Some Social Gatherings Banned

Oman’s Tourism Ministry has announced indoor and outdoor social gatherings in hotels have been banned. The aim is to tackle the spread of Coronavirus in the Sultanate.

The social gathering ban came into force on 17 March 2020 and will also apply to guest houses, tourist camps, inns and hotel apartments. It will also apply to other activities.

Elsewhere, the Social Development Ministry has announced club and local community activities and meetings are going to be banned.
